The Bayou City Art Festival Memorial Park turns Memorial Park’s South Picnic Loop into a weekend of juried fine art, food trucks, and family zones. Art Colony Association produces the show; featured artist for 2026 is acrylic painter Aubrey Hogan. This guide sticks to organizer logistics—hours, tickets, the Delmar Stadium shuttle, and what to bring—so you can plan without guessing.
For neighborhood context beyond the festival weekend, start with our Memorial Featured Area guide. If you want a quieter Memorial Park outing on another day, the Eastern Glades walk is a different part of the park—not the South Picnic Loop festival grounds.
When & where

Gates are open Friday–Sunday, October 9–11, 2026, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. each day. Organizers and TicketSpice both call it a rain-or-shine event, so pack for Houston weather instead of waiting on a perfect forecast.
The festival entrance and rideshare pin sit on S. Picnic Loop / S Picnic Ln., Houston, TX 77007. FAQ guidance for rideshare: use the far right lane on Memorial Drive East Bound in front of the main entrance (one gate in and out). Bike racks are available; METRO riders can check routes with METRO at 713-635-5000.
Tickets
Online pre-purchased tickets are required to enter—do not plan to buy a walk-up gate ticket as your main plan.
Per the organizer FAQ (base prices; TicketSpice may add processing fees):
- Adult General Admission (single day): $20 (early-bird $18 ended September 27, 2026).
- Adult General Admission Weekend Pass: $30 for the full weekend—FAQ calls this the best value; TicketSpice notes one scan per day Friday–Sunday.
- Children ages 6–12: $5.
- Ages 5 and under: free admission.
- Ages 13–17: need general admission (not free).
GA and VIP tickets remain valid on any festival day even if you picked a date at purchase, per the FAQ.
Optional VIP Hospitality Lounge access: day pass $105 or weekend $150. Lounge hours are 11:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. (narrower than gate hours). VIP includes lounge access, complimentary light bites, beer, wine, and refreshments, comfort-station restrooms, and VIP parking and shuttle. Children do not need VIP—use the child ticket (6–12) or GA (13–17).
TicketSpice terms treat sales as final / non-refundable / non-transferable unless you add purchase protection; a cancellation may allow transfer to a future festival at organizer discretion. For ticket or ops questions, contact the organizer at (713) 521-0133 or Info@bayoucityartfestival.com—not a real-estate line.
Parking & shuttle (critical)
There is no on-site parking for general admission. Plan Delmar Stadium plus the shuttle, or rideshare/bike.
- GA parking lot: Delmar Stadium, 2066 Mangum Rd, Houston, TX 77007.
- GA shuttle: Runs between Delmar and the festival entrance during 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Cost is $12 per person round trip. Children 17 and younger do not need a shuttle pass (FAQ). Your admission ticket alone does not include the shuttle—add the shuttle/parking pass when you buy tickets (festival-info wording). The $12 fee is for the round-trip shuttle, not a separate paid parking fee at Delmar.
VIP parking is at the Memorial Park Fitness Center, 6402 Arnot St, Houston, TX 77007, with shuttle during festival hours, included with VIP. Do not send GA guests to park at the Fitness Center.
If you buy large art, organizers note a Patron Art Pick-Up lane so you can load pieces into a vehicle on exit—useful if you are driving in only for pickup after shopping on foot via the shuttle.
Park closures context
Memorial Park Conservancy closes the Picnic Loop for general park use Wednesday, October 8 through Sunday, October 12 for the event. On October 9–11, Picnic Loop, Sports Complex, and Fitness Center lots are closed to the general public; a portion of the Running Complex lot is closed Friday, October 9 for vendors/setup. Other park lots remain open for park users. That Conservancy notice helps explain why festival GA parking is at Delmar and why Fitness Center parking is VIP-only those days—not a suggestion for casual park parking on the loop.
What you’ll find

Organizers describe a juried fine-art show with works from more than 270 national and international artists across 19 disciplines—meet makers and browse original works, prints, jewelry, sculpture, and more for purchase.
Beyond the booths, the FAQ lists a VIP Hospitality Lounge, a central Food Truck Park plus more food and dessert options sitewide, a Live Music Stage, a Craft Beer Garden, an Active Imagination Zone for kids (nonprofit crafting partners may be announced later), putt-putt games, and culinary arts demonstrations on the homepage. Named 2026 food vendors appear on the organizer food-vendors page (examples include Avila Flavors, Burger Joint, Ilmioamore Woodfired Pizza, Layne’s Chicken Fingers, Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee, and others—several marked with vegan options; lists can change, so treat names as a snapshot).
A portion of proceeds benefits local nonprofit partners; specific partner names were still TBA at research time—do not invent them. Live music performers are not listed here because the organizer entertainment page returned 404 during research; check the festival site closer to the weekend rather than relying on an outdated lineup guess.
What to bring / leave
FAQ-friendly to bring: picnic blankets, sunscreen, mosquito spray, hats, sunglasses, umbrellas; strollers, wagons, and wheelchairs (expect crowds). Two sunscreen kiosks and portable restrooms are on site; VIP has comfort stations. Expect bag/purse search at entry. An online/QR program is available.
Leave at home (prohibited examples from the FAQ): pets other than service animals (documentation may be required); outside food or beverages; skateboards, hoverboards, scooters, or rollerblades; laser pointers; fireworks; weapons including pocket knives; drones or flying toys. Smoking is prohibited on the grounds. Do not film or photograph artists or their work without consent.
